Spectrum Merchandising was founded in July 2007 by Emma Harris, starting out in her garage printing clothing and mugs. Not long after, the 2008 recession hit but with determination, hard work, and the support of loyal customers (some of whom are still with us today), the business continued to grow.
By 2011, we moved into a barn on a rural Essex farm, where we invested in our first embroidery machine and vinyl cutter, giving us the ability to offer faster, more flexible services.
As demand grew, so did we. In 2014, we moved into larger premises in Maldon, allowing us to expand our capabilities with advanced machinery, including UV and large-format printers. Today, we also operate from our own warehouse, helping us manage storage and fulfil orders efficiently and reliably.
We provide a wide range of branded clothing and promotional products for businesses, organisations, and clubs.
From embroidered workwear and printed uniforms to pens, banners, stickers and more, everything we produce is handled in-house, giving us full control over quality, turnaround times, and attention to detail.

Karen joined in 2012, bringing a wealth of design expertise (and Wilson the beagle, our unofficial mascot). Annie became part of the team in 2021, delivering exceptional customer service and keeping everything running smoothly. Katie joined in 2023, adding artistry and precision to every project, and Sienna followed in 2024, bringing fresh ideas, energy, and a natural flair for client relationships.
And of course, we can’t forget Wilson and Kenny our four-legged team members who keep morale high in the office.
Emma is the boss (in a non-bossy way!). She loves chatting… to clients mainly… On a busy day Emma can be seen literally hurdling deliveries to get to the phone.
Karen is our creative one. She loves a challenge and always finds the best way to put a client’s design onto a product, even when others might have said it was impossible!
Katie is the artistic one. She is adaptable and a bit of a perfectionist, taking care with whatever task is at hand.
Annie is the bubbly one. She loves talking to clients on the phone and when she is out and about networking.
Wilson has been part of the Spectrum team since 2019 and takes his role very seriously… mainly when it comes to snacks and attention. As our unofficial mascot, he’s always nearby keeping an eye on production (and anyone eating lunch). Friendly, curious, and always happy to greet visitors, Wilson plays a key role in keeping team spirits high.
Kenny joined the team more recently and quickly made himself at home. Known for his big smile and even bigger personality, he takes charge of office security — making sure everyone is accounted for and no snack goes unnoticed. When he’s not supervising, you’ll usually find him proudly showing off his latest stick.
